Earlier today, I realized that in every country in the world besides the United States, the Delorean travels through time at 141.6 kilometers per hour. After this occurred to me, I immediately realized two things:
- Even though the Imperial Measurement system is arbitrary and bullshit, 141.6 k.p.h. just doesn't have the same ring to it as 88 m.p.h.
- I need to get out more.

April is national Earth month. After that, we can safely forget about the planet for another year. It's like how we only think about Black History during February. I learned this while I was on the phone with the Aveda Institute to try and schedule a haircut. After the robot lady had told me about Earth month, this message played:
"Did you know that every fifteen seconds a child dies from lack of available drinking water? Come in to Aveda and do your part to help us stop the clock. Donate today."
That seems a little heavy for an institute whose focus is on cosmetics. How much water do you use every day for nothing more important than styling? How many children have you killed today, Aveda Institute? |

Fuck. Fuck fuck fucking fuck. God fucking damn it.
Scott McCloud, foremost scholar on all things comics and really super guy, is currently on a cross-country adventure with his family, giving lectures and hosting seminars and workshops in all fifty states. I knew about this last year when he started it. Then I lost track.
Fuck me.
He came to Minneapolis on April 11th, and hosted a workshop at MCAD and then gave a presentation at a bookstore in Uptown. I have been dying to hear this glorious man impart his wisdom for the better part of a year, and then when the time comes I completely forget about it. What else have I forgotten?! Someday my future self is going to come back in time and kick me right in the balls.
